Tampa Bay Downs
Next Saturday, Tampa Bay will feature one of their biggest days of the meet: the 2018 Sam Davis Stakes! In the meantime, they’ve got a ten-race card this Saturday, including a late pick 4 sequence featuring 51 entries. First post time will be 12:25 PM EST.
To help you out with all the action, we’ve got Elaine Daniels (@edan1962) providing free picks & analysis in her second season of handicapping on Danonymous Racing.
We encourage you to give Elaine a follow on twitter; she’ll be providing analysis of the great racing at Tampa Bay all meet long.
RACE 1 – Claiming $5,000N2Y, 4&up, 1 Mile 40 yards
5 – Candy Waltz – Didn’t have enough in the tank last time out. Has a 416 Tomlinson for the distance.
6 – Polygram – Centeno picks up the mount on the stretch out, with blinkers off, a move my friend @BigDaddyB likes ; )

1 – Morethanabook

6 – Sonora – Discreetly Mine Mare’s last two races have been at today’s seven furlong distance and have resulted in two second place finishes.
1 – Animauxselle – Last race Trainer Dini moved this filly baack to dirt, went from a route to a sprint, brought in Gallardo, and nearly won at odds of over 28-1. Gallardo stays here when possibly he could have ridden Bella Vincenza (5) again.

1 – Seminole Charlie – A second attempt at turf could bring the Smith Barn a win.
6 – Little Deuce Coupe – Double drop in class and an apprentice allowance for this Curlin gelding.
2 – Power Hitter – O’Connell’s gelded son of Power Broker almost got there in the dirt last time out, also has a 325 Tomlinson for the distance on turf.
