Take it away, Spencer!
Special thanks to John for letting me continue my dream of giving my picks as a public handicapper
Use my top 2 picks in multi-race wagers bottom picks are used in filling out tris and exactas vertical wagers.
#8 Speakers: Very lightly raced filly who broke her maiden impressively last time out with the best Beyer speed figure. Hoping My Pi romancer takes all the money and this one stays on her morning line. Trainer Patrick Gallagher is not the best at having his maiden winners fire right back.
#1 Moonshine Annie: This daughter of Discreetly Mine will need a form reversal to show she belongs her as she is 0-3 in allowance company since breaking her maiden at this venue and distance. Trainer Mark Glatt excellent off these types of layoffs.
#7 Lethal Legacy: These types of horses are horrible win bet types (1-24) but (12-24) ITM they always seem to hit the board somewhere. since third two back against some of these similar foes.
#2 Avail: Nice second last time out in MSW company at Los Al gets a nice jockey switch the journeyman rider Elliott. She will need a little pace to run into and should get that from the three and four horse. Trainer Art Sherman is ok with two yr old droppers being 1-5 in a small sample.
#1 Omerta: Dreadful debut had one runner come back to win, so that’s a positive. She has also been working lights out in the morning, but some horses can never translate good morning sessions into good afternoon paychecks.
#4 Krissys Manicure: This M.L. favorite seems to not be that good to me with a bad second start although she was six wide if you want an excuse. Trainer Richard Baltas is awful with MSW droppers (0-12) take at your own risk.Just an underneath use for me here.
#5 Pulpit Rider: This Daughter of Lucky Pulpit blew the doors off in her last race. Nice to see she is ratable and beat a decent field with two next-out winners. Trainer Mike Puype doesn’t usually do well with two-year-olds, so this one could be on her way to becoming a star.
#6 Silverspun Pickup: Barely held on to win her debut and is another one that can be up on the pace and sit. the stretch out to six furlongs is a little concerning as she was struggling to win at 5 1/2, but Trainer Michael Machowsky usually puts these types in winning spots.
#4 Esterfourfourteen: Toss this one last race as she was off slowly, and I feel this one needs to be up towards the front, or she just can’t get comfortable. Trainer Steve Miyadi is above average with two-year-olds off these type of layoffs 25%. She also has distance questions having only won at 4 1/2 furlongs.
#3 Great Ma Neri: Nice improvement second time out on the switch to turf. Out of town trainer has good numbers over 20% in the last five years with all runners. Looking for this one to steal on the front end at a reasonable price.
#8 Limari: She has an excellent work tab with good five furlongs works. She gets Prat in the irons which is a big positive. Trainer Jerry Hollandorfer is only 8% with first-time starters debuting on turf.
#4 Factorofwon: Good turf sire and love when they pay over four times the sire price at auction that tells me this one should be able to run some. Maybe the first two preps got her ready for the test her today. I love the M.L. of 12-1.
