$1.00 Pick 4 (Race 8) Guaranteed Pool $10,000
3,5,8/1,2,7/5/ALL – Cost: $54.00
Race 8: Yolo Hanover (5) is dropping down in class after a few tough efforts against upper level conditioned company. He has some early sped that the inside horses do not and that will work to his advantage today. Milliron Pete (8) has been holding his own against upper level company and from outside posts. Tonight he draws the outside again, this time against easier company. He is the morning line favorite for a reason and will be tough. Halfa Century (3) needs the last start against this class thrown out as he drew post eight and never fired. Tonight he draws the inside and deserves a second chance after some good efforts.
Race 9: Jayport All Muscle (2) has been facing tougher company at the Meadows and Yonkers in his last two starts and just has not fired. He comes back to a track where he has won at before and been very successful. Screamin Dreamin (1) is a class dropper that is kind of hit or miss, but if you are looking at a price she could provide it for you. She draws the rail this week and the driver switch to Don Irvine Jr. could play a part in her success. Zolena (7) was a powerful 2nd and was hard charging last time out just missing at the wire. Tonight she draws a little tough on the outside, but her closing power is what gives her an edge over some others.
Race 10: Twinkle Like Astar (5) is taking a very big drop in class this week after making a break in his last effort and then getting parked the mile. Throw that start out and this could very well be a single in the pick 4. Jimmy Rip (3) has not drawn well against upper level conditioned horses where he closed, but wasn’t a factor. Tonight he draws much better towards the inside and is dropping in class. He has a little bit of early speed and could create an interesting pace scenario. Verbalize (1) draws inside this week after a decent effort at Miami Valley Raceway last time out. This week he draws the rail and he is hoping that he can get into a better position early on that his last start at Northfield where he was parked the mile from post 2 and closed.
Race 11: Naturally Bad (6) draws outside this week after a game effort in the Buckeye at Miami Valley Raceway. He has a lot of early speed to contend with, but the start three back against lower level company jumps off the page at me where he made a sweeping move late and closed to win by a nose. Definitely one to watch out for. Aloha John (4) didn’t get the best trip last time out and that race should be thrown out. He has some early speed to work with and that should play to his advantage being able to get off the car before an outside horse does. Mcmoose (5) is a very interesting horse who has hit the board in four of his last five starts. Tonight he draws mid-pack and is moving up in class. His start last out is a big one where he won easily.
