$1.00 Pick 4 (Race 8) Guaranteed Pool $10,000
1,7,9/1,5/1,4,8/9 – Cost: $18.00
Race 8: Fridaynightflight (9) is dropping in class this week after showing speed in his last start and tiring late in the mile. Tonight he gets a decent draw against a lot easier company and should race back well. Boris (1) qualified extremely well after scratching lame two starts back. He makes his first pari-mutuel start for hot trainer Tim Hall. Kwik Mac (7) draws a little tough this week after a decent effort from post six last time out only missing by 2 ½ lengths. Definitely one that you will want to use on the ticket.
Race 9: This race is probably the most competitive on the card and could provide a little bit of value as there are a ton of class droppers. Chad (1) draws the rail this week and is dropping in class and one of the more consistent horses in the group. He has raced well against a couple of upper level conditioned classes and that makes him a strong contender against these. Forever Royal (5) is taking a very big drop in class this week as well after facing some very tough company. He has a little bit of early speed to contend with and that could play to his favor as there isn’t a ton of speed in the race. Expect him to be aggressively driven. Awesomely Awesome (8) is an interesting horse this week as she draws very tough on the outside. She is another very competitive horse that has some early speed, the only question is going to be post position.
Race 10: Mcmoose (4) has some early speed to contend with and really is on the improve this season hitting the board in 7 of 10 starts. With there not being a lot of early speed inside I have to think he will be driven out and taken to the top to play catch me if you can. Bevnlindas Sunnap (8) gets a tough draw on the outside, but has been known to win against this group before. He has a lot of early speed and gets along very well with Aaron Merriman. Wyatt Henry (1) raced very well and finished 2nd at the fair in his last start against tougher company. He draws very well towards the inside this week, definitely one to watch.
Race 11: Major Homer (9) is a potential single after the monster effort in his last start. He was parked the mile from post seven and still managed to finish 2nd. He draws much better this week and that should play to his favor. Elocutionist (2) is back against this group after a game third place effort in his last start. He draws better towards the inside this week after two starts from the 2nd tier. Cactus Billy (4) is making a jump in class this week after showing speed and tiring in his last start. He gets a good draw and after being the beaten favorite last week, he will need a big effort here.
