$1.00 Pick 4 (Race 8) Guaranteed Pool $10,000
ALL/4,7/1,2/2,5 – Cost: $72.00
Race 8: 4- Southwind Amazon (5) was parked the mile last week and had to sustain that bid through some very torrid fractions in a race that went in 1:49.4. I expect a better trip this week, if he can make the lead. Stride Of Pride (6) draws to his outside this week and was the one who set the big fractions on the lead last week. He tired to finish 3rd, but raced extremely well. K-Rock (9) didn’t get the best trip from post 8 in his last effort, but still closed strongly in 28.3. I believe he will get into a much better position this week from the second tier.
Race 9: Like Old Times (7) draws the outside this week after a world record effort in her last effort against the boys. She has been no worse than fifth in her last six starts, she really seems to be progressing nicely and returning to winning form. Mikey Hanover (4) draws towards the inside after a tough trip in his last effort from post six. When he draws the inside he tends to hit the board and should not be overlooked. Keystone Chester (8) hasn’t missed the board in five starts, the tough part tonight will be the draw on the outside. He doesn’t have a lot of early speed, but has a big ability to close from off the pace.
Race 10: Crosswinds Dodger (1) draws extremely well on the inside this week after making a break last time out. He is dropping down in class to face easier company and could show up at a price. Luckey Rei (2) is another horse who draws well off a tough effort in his last start. He has a little bit of speed, but is more of a tripped out horse who should be used in the exotics. Voltaire (6) is a horse I have kind of stuck by in his past couple of starts and you were rewarded with him winning last time out. He faces a little tougher this week, but could show up at a little price.
Race 11: Celtic Prince (2) picks up the services of Aaron Merriman who has two victories with this gelding against lower level conditioned company. He draws the inside tonight off two tough efforts from the outside, expect a big effort. Twin B Stingray (5) is dropping in class and is returning from Scioto Downs where he didn’t get the best trip. He has some early speed that some inside horses do not have and that could play to his advantage. Readysetletsroll (7) draws tough on the outside, but has a shot to hit the exotics.
