Free Picks & Analysis — Who Do Ya Like?

Gulfstream Park’s got a thirteen-race bonanza of a card on Sunday, with no stakes, but plenty of great races anyway. The first post time will be at 12:00 PM EDT. We’re happy to have Paul Hundley (@vapaul67) providing FREE picks & analysis of the program. Be sure to give Paul a follow on twitter; he’s handicapped Florida and New York racing in the past, and he’ll be handicapping Gulfstream every Sunday of the meet.
Good luck to everyone playing along out there!
Hello everyone and welcome back to Sunday at Gulfstream. After a 2 week hiatus we’re back for the 3rd to last Sunday of the Championship meet. Let’s get to the races!
None of the 3 logical choices in here inspire confidence taking them at such a short price, so this race seems like a good spot to go with a price in 3-EXCLUSIVELY EMMA, who in her first try versus $20K last out beat 7 home but was well beaten by the top 4 in the race and was probably just passing tired horses. Puts Blinkers on today and I’m hoping that is the impetus to spur her to the front in this paceless race and spring the upset over the trio of favorites in here, Sympathetic, Mo’s Ginny and Run Blondie Run.
RACE 2: 2-3-5
Wow, this race makes the opener look like a Stakes race. 2-WAVE ON WAVE is first off the claim for Cheryl Winebaugh, who is hitting 21% at the meet right now. Has good early speed and is cutting back from 7 furlongs. 3-Barroombouncer also has good early speed and I’m envisioning a merry go round race with these 2 never looking back.
RACE 3: 2-4-6
This card leaves a lot to be desired so far. 2-UNO DUDE won at $12.5K n2L last out and I like that Tyler Gaffalione remains here instead of the 6-Arch Legacy. 4-Party Tarde is 2nd off the claim for Saffie Joesph after trying turf last out. Ran 3rd at this level 2 back.
RACE 4: 2-1-5
2-HIDDEN TO WIN did little to nothing last out but drops to lowest level today and is 2nd off the claim for Marcus Vitali (20%)was 2nd versus 30K Claimers in December. 1-Scatnap the probable favorite, won at this level 2 back gate to wire and could easily repeat that today. Drops from Optional Claimers in last race, which was a so so 4th place effort.
RACE 5: 2-3-5
Interesting race because only one in here has been today’s distance. 2-NEW LEGEND appears to me that he will be in front early, though with majority of these stretching out, who really knows? Dale Romans is 20% Sprint to route and has his go to guy on board in Luis Saez. 3-King Zachary is the probable favorite and could help complete a Romans exacta. Made a good charge last out to get up for 3rd, but disappointed as the 7/5 favorite. FTS 5-Love Nest is the wild card today.
RACE 6: 5-7-1
Another race to take a shot in. 5-ASH FLOWER had trouble in debut at MC 35K as a 4/1 choice in an 11 horse field. Puts Blinkers on today for Gilberto Zerpa, who is fantastic at the meet at 32%
RACE 7: 5-4-7 (Sorry, running out of time)
RACE 8: 2-1-7
RACE 9: 4-2-5
RACE 10: 8-2-11
RACE 11: 7-10-2
RACE 12: 1-5-3
RACE 13: 9-4-6-1
