All week long on Danonymous Racing, we’ll have picks & analysis for all 13 Breeders’ Cup races from the Danonymous cast. Here, international analyst Stephen Wong recaps the Filly & Mare Turf. Good luck to everyone playing along out there!

Year     Track                Winner                          Lead Up Form

2016     Santa Anita       Queen’s Trust (GB)        3rd QIPCO British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes

2015     Keeneland         Stephanie’s Kitten         1st Flower Bowl Stakes

2014     Santa Anita       Dayatthespa                 1st First Lady Stakes

2013     Santa Anita       Dank (GB)                     1st Beverly D. Stakes

2012     Santa Anita       Zagora (FR)                  2nd Flower Bowl Stakes

Nezwaah (11): Stayed on comfortably to record her maiden Group I success in the Pretty Polly at the Curragh. She then ran on without threatening in the Yorkshire Oaks behind subsequent Arc winner Enable before struggling through heavy going at Woodbine. Finally gets back on top of the ground here and while her dam has won over 1m 4f, should appreciate the drop back in distance. Strong each-way claims.

Lady Eli (9): Top class mare who overcame laminitis and finished runner-up in this race last year. She has won a pair of grade ones since and has been training well at Belmont in recent weeks. Scheduled to be sold at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock sale later this month. Rates highly.

Grand Jete (8): Luckless in recent outings when she was held up in the Beverly D. at Arlington and was unsuited as she led and set the tempo in the Flower Bowl at Belmont. An improved showing is on the cards.
